Ollie Vee Press Kit

The Press Kit project featured design from a conceptual right to the final product assembly and send-off. Comprised of natural elements like wood, linen, and brown paper and burlap, it aimed to capture a bygone era. The challenge was to attain the same feel on a digital version. The digital version included multimedia elements such as video, music and hyperlinks.

This image was the starting point for Ollie Vee's first Press Kit. The digital version of the press kit can be viewed below. The press kit was created on Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop. The completed size was 9" x 11.5". It was assembled with custom birchply covers with linen paper throughout. It included a 3 song demo CD, a glossy 4" x 6" and 8" x 10" photographs mounter using antique black photograph corners tabs. The assembly was tied together with red .0125" elastic string, and mailed wrapped in brown packaging paper with burlap string. The concept to create something that was heavy, retro and out of the ordinary.
